About this webinar
This recorded webinar presents the recent research data into Irish teen girls attitudes and behaviours around sport and physical activity, and discusses sensitive areas like puberty and body image. With approx. 90% of our member gymnasts aged 14 years or under, we hope members will gain an enhanced understanding of the wider lives of teenage girls in Ireland and how to make sport (including gymnastics) relevant for this group, especially those who are less engaged.

About the speakers
Kate Nicholson joined Women in Sport in August 2017 as Head of Insight and Innovation, bringing over 25 years of experience in research, behaviour change and strategy development to the charity. During that time Kate has headed up a number of influential studies exploring how to prevent teenage girls from dropping out of sport, the visibility of women’s sport in the media and gender inclusion in the sports workplace. Prior to her role at Women in Sport, Kate held senior roles at Twinings and Kimberly-Clark leading insight and strategy for international markets.
Liz Prinz joined Women in Sport in June 2019 as an Insight Manager, managing the charity’s insight work and supporting project monitoring and evaluation. She manages the organisation’s work on women in midlife but has also worked on a number of projects with girls and women of all ages. Her background is in impact and evaluation for community and international development projects.
About Women in Sport
Women in Sport was founded in 1984 with the goal of giving every woman and girl in the UK the opportunity to experience the transformational rewards of sport. We research sport purely from the perspective of women and girls and use the insight gained to drive change through campaigns and partnerships. We have worked with many organisations including British Gymnastics.
