Sport Ireland Safeguarding 1 — Online Workshop
Safeguarding 1 is a three-hour introductory course on child protection and safeguarding in sport. This workshop is open to Gymnastics Ireland members aged 16 and over.
Date: Wednesday 11th November 2026
Time: 6:30pm–9:30pm
Location: Online via Zoom
Maximum participants: 16
Taking part
This is an interactive workshop involving video and group discussion. Participants need:

A reliable internet connection and a device suitable for taking part.

Access to their LearnUpon account to retrieve the Zoom joining link.

Access to email to receive their certificate.

Availability to attend the full three-hour workshop.
Full attendance is required to receive certification.
Joining the workshop
The Zoom joining link is available in the Live Learning session within this course. Once enrolled, log in to LearnUpon and open the session to access the link.
Please do not share the link. Only participants booked onto the workshop will be admitted.
Participants aged 16 or 17
Parental consent is required. Please arrange for a parent or guardian to complete the consent form provided in the course and email it to acarty@gymnasticsireland.com before the workshop.
Certification
Certificates of completion will be issued digitally by email. Participant details will also be registered on Sport Ireland’s National Database.
