Description
The Assistant Coach Floor and Vault Qualification is the first coaching award on the GI coaching pathway.
It introduces the skills, preparations and progressions within the Floor and Vault Assistant Coach syllabus. It is suitable for those supporting recreational gymnastics, including GymSTART, or beginning their development towards Women’s or Men’s Artistic coaching.
This qualification contains:
- The Assistant Coach Common Core Theory and Resource.
- The Floor and Vault Interactive Practical Coaching Resource and Practical Coaching Day.
- Candidate Logbook Assessment
Booking options and module fees:
All options include the Floor and Vault Interactive Practical Coaching Resource and Practical Coaching Day.
-
€200 — first qualification package: includes Assistant Coach Theory (€50), the Floor and Vault practical module (€150) and Candidate Logbook assessment.
-
€150 — practical module after booking theory separately: choose this option if you have already paid for Assistant Coach Theory. Candidate Logbook assessment is included. Complete your theory before attending the practical day.
-
€150 — practical module for eligible previous-cycle qualified coaches: you are exempt from theory and the Logbook under the Gymnastics Ireland Coaching Policy.
-
€100 — additional practical discipline: for candidates who have already completed Assistant Coach Theory and another practical discipline in the current programme. You do not repeat theory or complete another Logbook. Contact education@gymnasticsireland.com before booking to confirm eligibility and receive a €50 discount coupon against the €150 practical module fee.
Booking theory separately does not qualify you for the €100 additional-discipline rate. Your first practical module costs €150, bringing your combined theory and practical cost to €200.

Optional support for you and your Mentor:
An optional Zoom briefing is available through the Assistant Coach Theory course before the Practical Coaching Day.
